Hi, My name is Steph, the face behind Design First.
I have always had a passion for Architecture & Design, after finishing my Bachelor in Architecture (BAS) at Victoria University of Wellington and working for a construction company doing commercial design for over 5 years, I have now been enjoying self-employment in the residential sector since 2022.
Design First grew from my own experience after purchasing my first home which was in an unlivable state. I had a vision of what the house could be and with a lot of good planning and hard work it became a beautiful and functional space - yes, you can have both!
I enjoy helping people see the potential in their spaces and turning their ideas into practical, well-designed spaces that work for the way they live.
Whether you're renovating, extending or starting fresh, Design First can help bring clarity and direction to your project, taking your ideas and turning them into clear plans and realistic 3D models.
